Maven is delighted to join March for Moms to call for improving maternal healthcare, as we focus on creating a new care delivery model with women and families at the center. Join Maven Founder and CEO Kate Ryder alongside other advocates at the virtual Community Town Hall on Monday, May 4 at 1:00 p.m. ET to call on policymakers, healthcare providers, employers, and healthcare payers to demand change to improve care for mothers and families. The Community Town Hall will also feature Congresswoman Robin Kelly (D-IL-2), Every Mother Counts Founder Christy Turlington Burns, Advocate Charles Johnson, mothers, midwives, nurses, physicians, doulas, and other advocates for maternal health.
“For far too long, motherhood has taken a backseat in our healthcare system, and it has had devastating and deadly consequences that have been exacerbated by COVID-19. We are gathering to fight for every family so they can grow with dignity,” said Katie Shea Barrett, Executive Director of March for Moms. “Now more than ever, we must come together to develop sensitive and innovative solutions to address the needs of mothers and expecting mothers. We can and must do better.”
